The design of Douro Azul river boat was a very interesting and original project. The vessel’s main characteristics were her narrow width, as well as the low heights of the interiors. Our proposal revolved around these specific features: smart tricks were used in order to create a sense of height, without resorting to the obvious solution of mirrored ceilings. Two levels of light-colored ceilings with custom concealed lighting, were used instead. Moreover, the smart design of the general arrangement resulted in the overall impression of a much wider ship.
